Goodbye, Ruby Tuesday
Video by Randy Industries
Okay, so the cliched Rolling Stones reference was obvious, but Quincy’s Ruby Tuesday is finally coming down.
By the way, let me pull a Steve Eighinger. Here are my top 10 Rolling Stones songs:
- Can’t Always Get What You Want
- Sympathy For The Devil
- Honky Tonk Woman
- Tumbling Dice (homage to Strat-O-Matic)
- Gimme Shelter
- Beast of Burden
- Satisfaction
- Under My Thumb
- Paint It, Black
- 19th Nervous Breakdown
Back to the topic…so what will go in its place next to the bright, shiny Target we’re getting next year?
Property owners are tight-lipped and when MRN’s David Adam asked Mayor Mike Troup what was going in there he said “I’m waiting for Muddy River News to tell me.”
Glad the mayor knows where to get his news.
Chick-Fil-A leads the local rumor mill. Longtime Quincy white whales Olive Garden and Red Lobster are apparently not in the running.
Speaking of white whales, I’d like Long John Silver’s to come back. Used to be one of my Lenten lunch staples.
Cane’s? Popeye’s? In-and-Out? Whataburger? Potbelly? Five Guys?
If not Chick-Fil-A, then what do you want to see?
I do miss that Ruby Tuesday salad bar. Was the second best in town after Kelly’s and, of course, they didn’t have cheese soup.
