Letter to the Editor: Quincy needs housing, but don’t build duplexes in single-family neighborhoods
I agree with Brian Inman. The trend of “infilling” duplex housing into areas zoned as single-family homes is merely the government infringing on the homeownership right.
The “trend” is progressing (although it is anything but progressive), and of course, the contractors just want to make money. It’s not their neighborhood. It’s not mine, either, but it could be someday.
It’s one of those “progressive” movements that is “fine” with everyone as long as it isn’t in their neighborhoods.
And if Mike (Moss) is so worried about his son losing money — well, he’s a big boy and should have done his homework before he invested in a project such as this.
Quincy does need housing, but don’t build duplexes in single-family neighborhoods. That is unacceptable for all the reasons stated by Brian and the majority of his neighbors.
