Letter to the Editor: Schuckman’s coverage of QND sports shows he’s a true gem of Gem City

Thanks to MRN and Matt Schuckman. Please accept this note of congratulations and gratitude for the work of Matt Schuckman over the past several days covering Quincy Notre Dame sports. 

Matt’s stories, as well as his personal presence at QND over this past Memorial Day weekend, made a huge and positive impact. He is just so in touch with the young people in this community through sports. He brings the great stories out, whether they are pure joy, or in this case, the result of the tragic death of a young person in our community.

Through his writing, and also the Schuck on a Truck, Matt is able to bring alive the action and the human stories for those of us not there. He is a true gem of this Gem City.

Congratulations to the whole team at MRN and MRS. Well done.
