Letter to the Editor: Too many fans don’t know where to find broadcasts of high school games

Tuning FM radio stations on receiver dial close-up- Radio station tune with dial on stereo FM

This is really sad.

Being an old (82) sports guy, I’ve seen and heard a lot of football and basketball games in person and on the radio.  Now that I can’t get around like Bob (Gough) does, I’ve turned to NFHS to watch those games where they have cameras and listen where I can find a station.

It’s too bad there isn’t a young guy like Bob or Mike Moyers to travel and carry the games. I’ve always thought it was dumb for both local stations to travel out of town to carry the games. Throw all the out of town games in a hat and let both draw. Better yet, have one station carry Quincy Notre Dame and the other Quincy High School.

Now, it’s just “hope we can find a game on the net.” There are too many fans who don’t know how to do that.

Thanks to Matt Schuckman, we still get a great write-up on those games.
