QUINCY – The Republican leaders of the counties that make up the Illinois 99th House District selected State Representative-elect Kyle Moore to take his seat early upon the retirement of Randy Frese.

Moore said he’s ready to hit the ground running next week as the Illinois General Assembly meets in its “lame duck” session next week.

“We have real challenges ahead of us in the General Assembly this year, but nothing that is insurmountable, I’m proud that I have been able to work with members of both parties to make sure we get the job done for our local families and communities and that is my goal for our spring legislative session as well,” Moore said.

Moore was elected to the Illinois General Assembly in November to represent the 99th district which serves parts of Adams, Brown, Cass, Morgan, and Schuyler counties. He defeated Cass County Board member Eric Snellgrove in the March Republican primary and had no opposition in November.

Moore served as mayor of Quincy for two terms before taking the job as president and CEO of the Great River Economic Development Foundation (GREDF) in 2021. As mayor in 2018, he worked with a bi-partisan group of elected officials and community leaders toward improvements to the Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy, which resulted in the State of Illinois providing $230 million for a new campus.

At GREDF, Moore worked to bring companies to Quincy, including Tri-Mark Corporation, United Alloy, and Amazon.

In the 104th General Assembly, Moore said he wants to work to expand job opportunities in our communities, improve infrastructure, and protect families’ and taxpayers’ rights.

Moore can be reached at district office in Quincy at 217-223-0833 or through his website at RepMoore.com.
