Quincy Police personnel assist with security at Democratic National Convention

QUINCY — Quincy Police Sgt. Brent Holtman, Sgt. Ryan Witt and Det. David Distin spent last week in Chicago working as mobile field force members of the Illinois Law Enforcement Alarm Systems team (ILEAS) for the Democratic National Convention.

During the convention, these officers and their team provided dignitary security at the hotels in the
surrounding area.

ILEAS Weapons of Mass Destruction Special Response Team Officer Kevin Taute also provided security
working as a special response team member of the Illinois Law Enforcement Alarm Systems Weapons
of Mass Destruction Special Response Team for the DNC. During the convention, Taute and his team provided dignitary security at the hotels in the surrounding area.
