Schnack, Forsberg win city doubles crown by knocking off defending champions
QUINCY — Aaron Forsberg and Ryan Schnack didn’t waste much time winning the top men’s division of the Quincy City Doubles Tournament on Sunday.
Forsberg and Schnack, the second seed, defeated the top seed and defending champions, Ethan Arns and Zach Willing, 6-4, 6-1.
Greysen Arns and John Aubuchon defeated Drew Figge and Caleb Vonderheide 6-3, 3-6 (10-5) in the consolation championship.
Gerry Korb and Mike O’Neal won the legends division championship, defeating Tim O’Neal and Tom Taylor 6-4, 6-3. Korb and Ethan Stark won the men’s 3.5 division championship, defeating Mike Peterson and Michael Wood 6-4, 6-4.
Barney Bier and Pat Costigan won the men’s 4.0 final, defeating Rick Crider and Josh Vahle 4-6, 6-1 (10-5). Drew Koester and Joe Laws won the consolation title match, defeating Gavin Haner and Dylan Hoewing 6-0, 6-1.
