The Salvation Army will again be collecting and distributing electric fans to those in need. Distribution of fans from its Family Services facilities, in both Quincy and Hannibal, will begin on June 13. Anyone living within the Quincy Area Command’s service area of Adams, Pike, & Brown Counties in Illinois, and Marion, Ralls, Lewis, Shelby, & Monroe Counties in Missouri are encouraged to apply.
The Quincy Salvation Army will host its 2nd Annual Donut Hole Eating Competition at 10 am Thursday in The Kroc Center. Members of The Salvation Army and Kroc Center staff will compete. Funds raised will benefit The Salvation Army’s Food Pantry. The following day The Salvation Army will provide donuts to veterans at the Illinois Veterans Home at 10am in the chapel in celebration of National Donut Day, June 3.
