NAPERVILLE, Ill. — The six-pack of championships is…important.

Avery Keck and Annie Eaton made sure of it.

Eaton, a freshman forward on the Quincy Notre Dame girls soccer team, collected a throw-in, turned to the middle of the field and fed a picture-perfect pass to Keck moving up from the center of the field.

Keck’s left-footed blast sizzled into the upper netting for the game-winning goal with 2 minutes, 8 seconds remaining in regulation. Of the Raiders’ 1-0 victory over Richmond-Burton at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium on the North Central College campus.

It is the sixth state championship for the QND girls soccer program, matching the girls basketball program for the most in school history and also won this year.

”Its so much excitement and I’m so proud of our entire team,” Eaton said.
