QUINCY – Three incumbents and one newcomer won seats on the Quincy School Board Tuesday.

Quincy School Board President Shelley Arns and board members Jim Whitfield and LaTonya Brock retained their seats and Curtis Sethaler will join them.

Whitfield was the leading vote-getter, followed by Arns, Sethaler and Brock as they took the top four spots.

Tory Kaufmann, Ashley Randolph and Jeremy Allen finished fifth, sixth and seventh, respectively.

Arns said she believed the community came out to support people who genuinely care about the Quincy School District.

“This isn’t about politics, it’s about our kids,” Arns said. “We all want what is best for our students and our staff and the current board has been working to make the best decisions we can.”
