Clean Eatz opens with a focus on healthy options

The wait is over, and the doors are opening tomorrow at 11 am for Clean Eatz located at 4490 Broadway in Quincy.

Owners Todd and Jenna Hendrickson are proud to invite you to their grand opening celebration Thursday, Dec. 19 where there will be door prizes and giveaways galore from many local businesses who have come together as a community to welcome Clean Eatz to the Quincy scene. Tasty samples of what they have to offer will be available, so bring your appetite.

Tomorrow’s celebration is more than just a grand opening of the doors to their business. It is a celebration of opening a door in the community to the world of clean eating with convenience. There is a void there when it comes to healthy options and dining out, but the Hendricksons are happy to fill it.

“It’s not that we lack healthy food in the community, but there are not a lot of options,” Jenna said.

And that’s just what Clean Eatz has to offer – a lot of options. Clean Eatz is a health-focused restaurant franchise and meal prep service founded by Don and Evonne Varaday in Wilmington, North Carolina. The
Hendricksons said that Evonne is originally from Litchfield, Illinois and Don is originally from near the St. Louis area. Their brand focus is providing affordable, nutritious, and convenient meal options to help individuals maintain or start a healthy lifestyle.

The Hendricksons are Quincians with a passion for health and wellness as well as community. Todd graduated from Quincy Senior High in 2012 and Jenna graduated from Central Camp Point in 2015. Jenna said they plan on being involved in everything they can and give as much as they can to maintain that Qmunity energy.

Energy drives our every move. It can be positive or negative. It can be in the form of fresh foods and even atmosphere. Todd said he always felt a sense of energy whenever he was inside of other health and wellness stores and knew he wanted to capture that energy and have it for himself in his own business. Drive and energy are what lead the Hendricksons to their grand opening tomorrow. They have been working their butts off building this storefront. All the cleaning, painting, and training is done but the work is just getting started.

Eating healthy and fresh is never easy. As Americans, we have been conditioned to convenience even when it comes to our food. The Clean Eatz franchise makes it easier with the services they provide. Those services include:

• Café Dining: Hot meals, quick snacks, and an array of healthy beverages can be purchased at the counter, and you can enjoy them right there in the store. The café is bright and energizing, just like the food they have to offer.
• Meal Plans: Customizable weekly meal plans with portion-controlled, pre-prepared meals designed for various dietary needs, including weight loss and fitness goals. There are no subscriptions with this service. You order your options online or in the store before the Sunday deadline, and they are ready for you on Monday. If you can’t pick up on Monday, or you don’t eat your meal one evening, those meals can be frozen for up to six months.
• Grab and Go Options: Pre-packaged frozen meals, snacks and smoothies for a quick and healthy option at home. Todd raved about the smoothies and Jenna said that it was a great place for a healthy coffee. Americans love their beverage treats. Stopping in and picking up a quick beverage is a great way to check out the place.
• Catering: Not all Clean Eatz locations provide catering options, but this one does! The Hendricksons offer catering with a focus on clean and balanced foods for your parties and events.

Clean Eatz will be open Monday through Friday 11am – 7pm and 11am – 3pm on Saturday and Sunday.
