Hannibal man arrested on drug and gun charges

HANNIBAL, MO. — A Hannibal man was arrested Friday on multiple drug and gun charges.
The 10th Judicial Circuit Court of Marion County issued a warrant for James L. Culp II, 44, Hannibal, charging him with Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Transport of an Illegal Weapon, four counts of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
The warrant is the result of a drug investigation that began on April 3. During the investigation, Culp agreed to bring illegal narcotics to an individual in Hannibal. Culp was stopped by police and a search incident to arrest was conducted. During the search officers located a large sum of currency and a large amount of a substance believed to be methamphetamine.
Culp’s bond was set at $50,000.00 cash and he remains in the Marion County Jail.
