McBride trial delayed…again
A Quincy woman whose 2020 traffic crash resulted in the deaths of four people, will not stand trial in April after all.
The Adams County State’s Attorney’s office appealed a Friday decision by Judge Amy Lannerd to dismiss the driving under the influence charge against Natasha McBride. In court Monday afternoon, the case was removed from the April jury trial docket by Adams County Circuit Court Judge Amy Lannerd.
First Assistant State’s Attorney Todd Eyler said after Lannerd dismissed a count of aggravated driving under the influence on Friday, the office filed the appeal on Monday and Eyler referred to the Illinois Supreme Court in saying the case now be postponed during the appeal.
Following Chief Public Defender Todd Nelson’s objection, Lannerd said another status hearing for April 26.

The Corrick boys were Hendricks’ grandchildren and lived in Kirksville, Mo.
McBride also faces four counts of reckless homicide, four counts of driving on a revoked license and four courts of leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.
McBride remains in the Adams County Jail on $5 million bond.
