One person shot in incident on Cheswick Road
QUINCY – One man was taken to Blessing Hospital following a shooting in the southeastern part of Quincy early Sunday morning.
Quincy Police responded to a “shots fired” call around 2:15 a.m. Sunday at 2811 Cheswick Road. As officers were on their way to the scene, they were told a man had been taken to the Blessing Hospital emergency room with a gunshot wound.
The victim, a 24-year-old male, sustained a non-life threatening wound during the incident.
Officers collected evidence and statements at the scene. According to police, there were multiple witnesses to the incident.
Police report no arrests have been made and the case is under investigation, but the preliminary report says it does not appear to be a random incident.
