Pittsfield Police arrest three men for stealing from Farm and Home
PITTSFIELD, Ill. — Pittsfield Police arrested three men last week after a theft from the Pittsfield Farm and Home Supply store.
Officers were called to the Pittsfield store on Nov. 25 following a report of suspicion of theft as one of the men was wearing a mask.
According to Pittsfield Police, the men fled the store, but were quickly apprehended. One was hiding in the restroom of a nearby business and the others were arrested just a few blocks away from the store, located 1343 block of West Washington Street. Officers used a Taser to subdue one of the men.
Police report more than $3,000 in tools and clothing were taken from the store. The three suspects were also allegedly in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Casey Lierly, 29, of Quincy; Eric Glas, 38, of Ursa; and Zachary Larsen, 27, of Quincy; were all charged with retail theft over $300, a Class 3 felony; possession of methamphetamine under five grams, a Class 3 felony; possession of a controlled substance, a Class 4 felony; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor.
Larsen, who was the suspect Pittsfield PD used the Taser on, was also charged with resisting a police officer, a Class A misdemeanor. He was treated by Pike County EMS following his arrest for injuries he suffered after the Taser incident.
All three were taken to the Pike County Jail with bond set at $30,000 for each.
