QCES Foundation looking for new leadership

QUINCY — Sara Reuschel is leaving her position as executive director of the Quincy Catholic Elementary Schools Foundation later this month.
Reuschel, who took the job in Nov 2021, was the foundation’s second executive director. She replaced Paul Rittof, who filled the position when it was first created in 2009.
Erin Frazier, vice president of the QCES board, said Reuschel, who is taking a job with the Tracy Family Foundation, will be missed.
“We’re excited for (Sara) in her new role because of the good work the Tracy Family Foundation does,” Frazier said. “Our goal is to find someone who is as passionate about Catholic education as Sara is and keep Catholic education in Quincy thriving.
Frazier said the foundation’s work on tuition assistance and teacher grants is paramount to the future of Catholic education in Quincy.
“There are so many positives with Catholic education,” she said. “Not only a great, well-rounded education, but there are so many faith-based initiatives including Mass and service hours.
“No donation is too small. There are always ways to give.”
While the deadline for an application for the position is Monday, July 7, Frazier said that is flexible due to it being the Monday after a holiday weekend. She said if someone is interested, but can’t get the application in, they should just contact QCES. They hope to have the position filled by the start of the 2025-26 school year.
