Deputies with the Adams County Sheriff’s Department were called at approximately 8:39 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, to the intersection of E603rd Lane and N. 2050th Ave for a traffic accident that was believed to have involved a bicyclist and a motor vehicle. Upon arrival, deputies found Jet Feramisco, who had been riding a bicycle on E603rd Lane and sustained critical injuries. He was airlifted from the scene and taken to a Springfield hospital.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Department said in a press release late Wednesday afternoon that no signs of a traffic crash were located, and the injuries to Feramisco appeared to be consistent with a fall from a bicycle. The incident is still under investigation with further details pending.
