Quincy man facing aggravated battery with deadly weapon charges after 77-year-old woman is stabbed

QUINCY — A Quincy man is in the Adams County Jail after he was arrested in Payson on Monday in connection with a stabbing incident on Sunday.

An officer with the Quincy Police Department, who was at Blessing Hospital for an unrelated call, was approached at approximately 11 a.m. Sunday, April 21, by an elderly female who said she needed help.  The 77-year-old female had been stabbed multiple times and had driven herself to the hospital.  

The female was treated at Blessing Hospital for serious injuries. A press release from the Quincy Police Department reported she is still in the hospital.  Officers responded to the location of the stabbing in the 900 block of North Third, and detectives were called in to assist with the investigation.  

On Monday, April 22, QPD detectives joined deputies with the Adams County Sheriff’s Department to locate and arrest Thomas Delcour, 34, for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
