Quincy School Board incumbents, Sethaler get big stretch run boost with full-color mail piece

QUINCY — A large full-color mail piece showing support for the three incumbents and one newcomer who are candidates for the Quincy School Board hit voters mailboxes this week.

Quincy School Board President Shelley Arns, board members Jim Whitfield and LaTonya Brock and newcomer Curtis Sethaler are featured on the 11-inch by 13-inch piece printed on heavy stock paper.

“Friends of the Quincy School Board” received five large donations this week that helped fund the mailer, according to records from the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Retired Quincy School Superintendent George Meyer, who penned a letter of support for the four that was published on Muddy River News earlier this week, made the largest donation at $5,000 that was reported to the state on March 10.

Other donations were:

  • Lee Lindsay — $2,000, reported on March 27
  • Harold “Bo” Knapheide IV — $2,000, reported on March 27
  • Bryan Stokes — $2,000 Reported on March 21
  • Hal Oakley — $1,000, reported on March 21.

Tory Kaufmann, Jeremy Allen and Ashley Randolph also are running for election to the School Board.
