Quincy woman gets 10 years for child porn
A Quincy woman has entered a guilty plea on three counts of possession of child pornography.
Ashley Toohey, 31, will receive three year sentences on two of the counts and a four year sentence on the third and will spend 10 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
Toohey entered her plea on Friday. As part of her plea deal, four other counts were dropped, which included charges of reproduction of child pornography involving children under the age of 13.
Quincy Police began their investigation of Toohey in September 2020 after Facebook flagged an account for possible material that exploited children. She was then arrested on May 26 at the Welcome Inn, 200 Maine, following multiple warrants involving social media and internet sites.
Toohey will receive credit for the 150 days she has served in the Adams County Jail since her arrest. She will also have to register as a sex offender upon her release.
