Two men, one female dead in head-on crash on U.S. 24 in Brown County

TIMEWELL, Ill. — Three people are dead after a head-on fatal crash on Thursday in Brown County.

The crash happened just after 2 p.m. on U.S. Route 24 at the intersection of Timewell Road, about five miles west of Mount Sterling. Brown County Sheriff Justin Oliver reports that two males were killed in one vehicle, and one female was killed in an other vehicle. One of the victims was pronounced dead in Schuyler County, one was pronounced dead in Adams County and the other was pronounced dead at the scene.

The identies of the victims will not be released until all families are notified. The Illinois State Police is handling the investigation.
