QUINCY — Quincy Police have arrested a suspect who they believe started the Tuesday fire at the former site of Doyle Manufacturing, 4001 Broadway.

At about 7:40 p.m. Tuesday, Quincy Police, Fire, Tri-Township Fire Department and the Adams County Ambulance were dispatched to a large structure fire at that location.

Following the extinguishing of the fire, Quincy Police detectives and investigators from the Quincy Fire Department began an investigation and determined there was potential for human involvement to start the fire.

Detectives were able to locate evidence that included Flock camera data to identify a possible suspect and on Thursday, Elanda Neese, 49, of Quincy was arrested and lodged in the Adams County Jail for the offenses of Arson and Possession of Methamphetamine.

The investigation is still on going and if anyone has further information they are asked to contact the Quincy Police Department.
