HANNIBAL, Mo. — James O’Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal and O’Donnell-Cookson Life Celebration Home of Quincy will match every $20 bill donated to The Salvation Army’s kettles in Hannibal (up to $1,000) and Quincy (up to $1,500) on Wednesday Dec. 20.

In a press release, Development Director Matt Schmidt said, “This is a great opportunity for people in both communities to double their donations by simply dropping a $20 bill in any red kettle on Dec. 20.”

The Salvation Army’s Christmas Campaign has raised $197,403 toward the $435,000 goal in Quincy and $57,069 toward the $122,000 goal in Hannibal. The community’s support is crucial in achieving these targets and ensuring that The Salvation Army can continue providing essential programs and services to families in the counties of Adams, Pike and Brown in Illinois, as well as the counties of Marion, Ralls, Lewis, Monroe and Shelby in Missouri.
