The Salvation Army serving free community dinner on Christmas Day at Kroc Center

QUINCY — The Salvation Army will serve a free community Christmas dinner from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Christmas Day, Wednesday, Dec. 25, at The Kroc Center, 405 Vermont. No reservations are required.

For people who are homebound, The Salvation Army will offer meal deliveries to shut-ins in Quincy, with a limited number of meals per household. To schedule a delivery, recipients are asked to provide their name, address and the number of meals needed by calling Dylan Altmix at 217-231-5655.

People can make a financial contribution to support the Christmas dinner by mailing a check to The Salvation Army at P.O. Box 75, Quincy, Ill., 62306-0075.

Community members should contact Altmix at 217-231-5655 to learn more about volunteer opportunities.
