Letter to the Editor: Weathers takes pride in helping youths, special populations and veterans

I would like to take this opportunity to encourage your vote for Cecil Weathers as a member of the Quincy Park Board.
Cecil is very kind, friendly and giving at heart. Cecil wears an unforgettable smile daily, and his intentions everyday are to do the right thing and to find possible resolutions with that goal in mind at all times. Whether he’s transporting injured or disabled patients to their rooms or destinations at Blessing Hospital or if it is helping to resolve complaints or issues presented to the Human Rights Commission (a position he was appointed to by the mayor), Cecil always has input and helps to guide toward the best solution for the organization as well as the people of his community.
Cecil takes pride and special interest in helping youths within the community through his involvement with the board of Jackson-Lincoln Pool. As a past president and current member, he aids in planning and decision making on events and special programs as well as day-to-day operations for the pool. In addition, Cecil is a member of the board for Bella Ease, where he works with special populations in aiding with education programs, job placements within the community and assistance with growing and becoming productive members of the community.
As a U.S. Air Force veteran, Cecil takes pride in celebrating the dedication and service of active duty as well as veteran populations throughout the area. Cecil wants to help and support with organizations, programs and anybody who is directly involved in influencing the growth and success of the community that he loves. His dedication of time and careful consideration of all details of each activity, issues brought forth and just general service to his community is his focus from the time that he has his morning breakfast until he goes to bed each day.
Cecil is unafraid to find the resources and information necessary to handle the tough issues at hand and to present ideas or information that may have been overlooked and aspects that he has experienced and learned. Cecil fully engages in his duties on any voluntary, elected or appointed position with passion, sincerity and consideration as a concerned citizen and as someone who loves his neighbors.
Please take this opportunity to elect Cecil, who spends his day trying to make the best decisions possible while considering all aspects of the task at hand. Your vote for Cecil will allow his continued support and give him the ability to do what he does best — showing care, consideration and love for people who are most important to him, his loving community.
