Salvation Army, Emerald City Jewelers partner to offer ‘Ring for Bling’ bell ringing promotion

Ring for Bling

QUINCY — The Salvation Army and Emerald City Jewelers have partnered to present the Ring for Bling challenge, which offers volunteer bell ringers an opportunity to win a beautiful piece of jewelry donated by Emerald City Jewelers.

Each time a person (older than 16 years) volunteers to ring bells for The Salvation Army, his or her name will be entered into the Ring for Bling drawing. Volunteer bell ringers will automatically receive one entry per day after completion of their shift. At the close of the contest on Dec. 23, a recipient will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries at the beginning of January. Further details regarding the drawing will be posted on salvationarmyqcyhan.org and social media.

With multiple locations hosting a red kettle, now is an excellent time for you, your group, or your organization to volunteer as a Salvation Army bell ringer. Those who are interested are encouraged to register online at RegisterToRing.com or contact Tina Lewis at tina.lewis@usc.salvationarmy.org.

Funds raised from the red kettles remain local to support The Salvation Army social services programs, such as holiday meals and toys, shelter for the homeless, job assistance, and more.

The Salvation Army provides a variety of programs and services to assist families in need in the counties of Adams, Brown and Pike in Illinois and Marion, Ralls, Lewis, Monroe and Shelby in Missouri.
