Salvation Army invites local jiu-jitsu practitioners to ‘Sweep Away Hunger’ tournament; early registration ends July 31
QUINCY — Martial arts enthusiasts and community supporters are gearing up for a day of competition and compassion at the Sweep Away Hunger Jiu-Jitsu Tournament on Saturday, Oct. 26.
Sponsored by the Salvation Army at the Kroc Center, this event invites jiu-jitsu practitioners to showcase their skills while supporting a worthy cause. Participants can compete in various divisions, all while contributing directly to the Salvation Army’s mission to combat hunger in the community.
Event Details:
- Date: Saturday, Oct. 26
- Time: Doors open at 8 a.m., tournament begins at 9 a.m.
- Location: The Kroc Center, 405 Vermont
Registration Information:
- Early Registration: $39 until Wednesday, July 31
- Regular Registration: $49 until Sunday, Oct. 6
- Late Registration: $59 until Sunday, Oct. 20
- 2nd Division: 50 percent off
Spectator Fee: $10 at the event. Athlete registrations for participants under 16 years old include one complimentary spectator ticket.
