Salvation Army Quincy Area Command offering cooling centers during summer months

QUINCY — The Salvation Army Quincy Area Command will offer its facilities in Quincy and Hannibal, Mo., as cooling centers during the summer when heat advisories are issued. The cooling centers will have varying hours and amenities per location for those who need respite from the extreme heat.

The Kroc Center – 405 Vermont, Quincy

  • Mon-Fri: 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Sat: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Sun: Noon to 5 p.m., except holidays
  • Water fountains are available

Family Services Center of Quincy – 501 Broadway, Quincy

  • Mon-Fri: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., except holidays
  • Snacks and water will be provided.

The Family Store of Hannibal: Steamboat Bend Shopping Center, Suite 200A, Hannibal, Mo.

  • Mon-Sat: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., except holidays
