QUINCY — Two airlines have submitted bids to the United States Department of Transportation for the Essential Air Service program serving Quincy and its surrounding communities. The DOT has asked the city to submit a recommendation for the bid that best fits the community’s needs by August 19.

Anyone with an interest in the air service at Quincy Regional Airport is encouraged to attend. The vote for the recommendation is scheduled for the regular Aeronautics Committee meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 3.
