QUINCY — Down Home Pub and Eatery is moving to the Quincy Town Center with an anticipated opening of nearly November, according to a press release from Cullinan Properties. The restaurant will move into the location formerly occupied by Pappo’s Pizzeria and Pub.

Down Home Pub and Eatery owner Stephanie Kaufman says the move from its current location at 509 S. Ninth allows for the restaurant to reach a wider audience.

“We chose Quincy Town Center because it’s right at the center of the action,” Kaufman said in the press release. “With all the activity happening here, we’re looking forward to serving even more of our loyal patrons while welcoming new guests. This space gives us an incredible opportunity to grow and be a part of a place that’s constantly moving forward.”

The husband-and-wife team of Colleen and Mike Stice, along with friends (and sisters) Stephanie and Tammy Kaufman, combined to open Down Home Pub and Eatery on Nov. 30, 2022

“We are excited to welcome Down Home Pub and Eatery to Quincy Town Center,” said Kathleen Brill, director of leasing and strategic partnerships for Cullinan Properties. “This move is part of our ongoing commitment to Quincy Town Center, and we’re proud to see local businesses like Down Home Pub and Eatery thriving in this dynamic space. With more exciting announcements on the horizon, Quincy Town Center continues to evolve as a true destination for the community.”

Down Home Pub and Eatery offers delivery or take-out, as well as dining-in options. It offers American food such as burgers, sandwiches, soups, salads, pizzas, appetizers, calzones, daily dinner specials and desserts.

The restaurant will be closed on Wednesdays until after the move is complete. It is open from 4-10 p.m. on Mondays, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays, 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturdays and 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sundays.

“It’s wonderful to see Down Home Pub and Eatery making its home in Quincy Town Center,” Quincy Mayor Mike Troup said. “This is exactly the kind of growth we love to see, where local businesses can flourish and serve our community in a new, energized way. We look forward to all the great things happening at the center.”
