It is with great joy and pride that we write this letter in support of our dad, Dan Brink, as he campaigns for mayor of Quincy.

Our dad has never hesitated in helping us achieve our goals, and we are excited to support him as he campaigns for this position to work as a public servant. Born and raised in Quincy, our dad has been serving the community in an abundance of ways his entire life. From Quincy Cursillo, CASA volunteer and 6th Ward alderman, to serving countless hours supporting and growing his church community, he has consistently worked to improve the condition of his community and the lives of those who reside here.

He was a constant and present role model while growing up, and he was actively involved in our extracurricular activities. From coaching on the sidelines of a Quincy United soccer game, assisting his son and other Boy Scouts in achieving their Eagle Scout Award, or walking endless miles on the golf course helping his daughter practice and play in tournaments, he and our mom were always there. He always chose to prioritize our family and his children through career changes and the ups and downs of life.

As we’ve grown and started our own careers and families, the lessons that our dad instilled in us have guided our choices and paths. As a result of his and our mom’s support and mentorship, we’ve each had success in our respective fields as a clinical nutrition manager at the VA and a field artillery captain in the Army. He taught us to never do anything halfway, to utilize the resources and people available to you and to always look for solutions.

He is a firm believer that the right leadership and team with a strong work ethic can achieve any goal. He looks forward to working on behalf of Quincyans to steer the city in a direction that everyone can be proud of. He is ready to collaborate with the city and all constituents, ready to do his research and get to the root of any problem, and ready to serve in this role.

We know our dad is the right leader as the mayor. He is excited to show up and work for you.

We appreciate your support and vote for our dad, Dan Brink, for mayor in the Republican primary on Feb. 25.
