Letter to the Editor: Quincy City Council needs to pass ordinance for registration, licensing, inspection of rentals

We will celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Jan. 15. We honor his dedication to civil rights, justice and non-discrimination in schools, workplaces and housing.
My wish on this MLK Holiday is that this year the Quincy City Council will pass a rental registration, licensing and inspection ordinance. All residents of Quincy deserve a safe, decent place to live.
The city shares in the responsibility to ensure that they have it.
