Letter to the Editor: There’s a difference between legal and illegal immigrants

I’m writing in reference to Ms. Frederick’s question about illegals.

A. There is a difference between LEGAL immigrants and ILLEGAL immigrants.

B. There is a system in place for immigrants to enter our country LEGALLY.

C. Yes, there are plenty of jobs available for LEGAL immigrants to get and make a nice future for their families. Again, there is a system in place for that.

D. I don’t think you were fair in accusing people of not liking foreigners because they look different. If you look at history, most of us are from foreign families, and we all look different from each other. My family members are descendants of the Amish, and there was a time when people feared them because they had different customs. My family came to this country legally from Germany, and we all survived.

The key word is LEGAL.
