Letter to the Editor: Thanks to Muddy River News for compassion, honorable efforts in McBride case

As a family member of the four victims of Natasha McBride, I want to express gratitude for your efforts to bring the truth out into the light! 

I must admit I have carried an absence of trust in the legal system and those connected to it for much of my life. I initially felt that naivete was running rampant amongst most reporters concerning this case.   However, you have restored my faith in reporters generally and Muddy River News specifically.

I can honestly tell you my family has felt a continuing sorrow over the outcome of the state’s attorney’s office’s mishandling of the case and could not see any chance of ever getting justice. Your editorial concerning the state’s attorney’s office’s repeated failures to deliver justice have eased my family’s pain a little, and I am very grateful for your compassion and honorable efforts.
